The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer for a leading company based in Coventry.

Reporting into the Production Director the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the delivery of Internal and external Trim Shop projects.

  • Company Policies: Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
  • To oversee project budgets and work with Director to ensure cot efficiency
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver Trim Shop work to the highest standards
  • Work In conjunction with senior management produce accurate Trim Shop quotes following the correct ordering process
  • Produce accurate Bill of Materials for all trim shop projects
  • Schedule Trim Shop workload in line with capacity and customer requirements
  • Liaise with Design, Development and Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely delivery of projects
  • Support senior management to enable the efficient day to day running and sustainable growth of the trim shop.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Project Engineer within interiors / exteriors or within a Project Support/ Management role, in a fast paced, forward-thinking business
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and other service providers
  • Ability to manage one’s own time, multitask and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software
  • Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings
  • Plans work and cascades to team        
  • Integrates departmental planning with other business units
  • Demonstrates good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism
  • Organised, Methodical but Flexible approach to workload
  • Must have IDLR/ Full right to work in UK- Sponsorship will not be provided.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience and knowledge of designing project guidelines and procedures
  • Can lead small teams
  • Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
